Deon Venter - Syaxt
Syaxt is the Saanich peoples’ name for Ganges Harbor, a landmark for every resident and visitor to Salt Spring Island. Influenced through the lens of Indigenous cultural simplification of the ovoid forms in their art - there is this interplay between the dynamic sky and its twin reflection in the water.
